On Thursday 30th of January 2025, the College of City and Regional Planning hosted a seminar presented by Mr. Kristian Alex Larsen, an archaeologist from Copenhagen. The seminar focused on his published book titled: AMEDI: Historical sites and moments of a great Kurdish town.

Larsen holds a master’s degree in political science and Near-Eastern Archaeology, and worked as an academic consultant in various municipalities in Copenhagen before retiring. Inspired by his visits to Amedi and the captivating conversations he had with the locals, Larsen was driven to delve deeper into the wonders of the town and share its beauty with the world through a book.
