SDL Program: Triple Helix Agreement on: Duhok Sustainable Development Board

On Monday, 30/9/2024, the College of City and Regional Planning signed the Tripel Helix agreement with the Duhok Mayoralty and the Chamber of Commerce within the SDLG program, which refers to the project: Sustainable Development through Improved Local Governance, implemented by VNG International to Improve the resilience of host communities and refugees in Iraq, and funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Triple Helix model is an innovative approach to fostering collaboration between government, academia, and industry for economic growth and social empowerment. This project plan outlines the steps required to establish a Triple Helix sustainable development board . The Board aims to create a framework for sustainable partnerships and initiatives that benefit the local community focusing on five main themes: Tourism, environment, energy, agriculture and entrepreneurship.
