On Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, the Dean of the College Dr. Layla M. Raswol conducted an important meeting with the Dean of the Center of Urban & Regional Planning for Post-graduate Studies / University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Kareem Hasan Alwan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chro Ali Hama Radha from the City Planning Engineering Department/Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Dr. Ali Heyder Saad, Nawroz University/Duhok, and Mr. Samir Hashim Muhyadeen / Vice Dean of the College.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the collaboration opportunities between the three universities to discuss issues related to Urban and Regional planning education in Iraq. At the end of the meeting, the partners agreed on:

- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the College of City and Regional Planning / University of Duhok and the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad. This memorandum sets aim to deepen the bonds of cooperation and coordination between the two sides in exchanging expertise, information, and research, particularly concerning climate change, water uses, sanitation, waste management, personal and public hygiene, and urban planning.
