City Planning Students Participate in Sustainable Water Management Workshop

As part of the ongoing sustainable development workshop series, students from the Department of City Planning (College of City and Regional Planning, University of Duhok) participated in a training workshop titled “Sustainable Water Management” on September 21–22, 2026.

The session was delivered by Yak Dar Environmental Organization in collaboration with The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) as part of LWF’s Nexus Approach to the Protracted Humanitarian Crisis project.

Key Highlights:

  • Water Challenges & Sustainability: Building student knowledge on critical water issues and promoting practical environmental solutions.
  • Youth Engagement: Empowering passionate young people to take active roles in local sustainability initiatives.
  • Kurdistan Sustainability Network (KSN): Participants gained the opportunity to join the KSN to continue learning and driving environmental action.

The Department of City Planning, alongside the Tourism and Chemistry departments, supported student coordination and looks forward to continuing this valuable partnership to enhance practical learning.
