The Department of City Planning/College of City and Regional Planning, with the Department of Architectural Engineering/College of Engineering, will hold a workshop led by Dr. Shireen I. Ismail and Dr. Rana Fatahi, supported by the World Monuments Fund Organization, Alessandra Peruzzetto, and the Donald Insall Associates (UK), featuring Tanvir Hasan, Director Emeritus. This one-day workshop will focus on Value Assessment and Architectural Conservation of Historic Buildings and is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 3rd October 2024, at the Cultural Center, University of Duhok.

The workshop will explore key topics, including value assessment of historic buildings and how this assessment can guide intervention strategies for preservation. Additionally, there will be a discussion on a proposed study program for a High Diploma in Architectural Conservation, to be offered at the Department of Architecture Engineering, UoD, with the involvement of the Academic staff of the Architectural Engineering Department.
