On Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, MSc student, Aland Kamal, successfully conducted his Master’s Thesis Defense with a grade ‘Excellent’. The defense was conducted in the Department of Spatial Planning, College of City and Regional Planning.

Under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Layla M. Raswol, the Master Thesis is titled:

‏(The Impact of Transportation System Transformation on Sustainable Built Environment: Duhok city as a Case Study).

Members of the Defense Committee included;

- Prof. Dr. Kareem Hasan Alwan, Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad

- Prof. Dr. Ali Heyder Saad, Nawroz University/Duhok

- Asst. Prof. Dr. Chro Ali Hama Radha, City Planning Engineering Department/Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

Mr. Aland is the first graduate of the M.Sc. in Spatial Planning program in the University of Duhok, which sets aim to join the SPRING International Programme with TU Dortmund.
